Biography
Scott Harper, a founding partner of the firm, possesses a comprehensive skill set in both intellectual property law and aviation law. This expertise enables him to provide clients with effective and insightful counsel across a diverse range of industries. He assists clients in developing and implementing strategies to safeguard their innovations, brands, and creative works under domestic and foreign patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret laws. His practice encompasses all aspects of patent, trademark, and copyright prosecution, licensing, and litigation. In aviation matters, Scott utilizes his engineering background and litigation experience to represent aviation manufacturers and operators in accident and product liability cases.
Scott actively participates in various legal professional organizations. He served as President of the Dallas/Fort Worth Intellectual Property Law Association, as a member of the Dallas Bar IP Council, and as a Barrister member of the Honorable Barbara M.G. Lynn American Inn of Court. Additionally, he is a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA), where he most recently served on the INTA Internet Committee. Scott has received professional recognition as a Texas Super Lawyer, is AV Preeminent® Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell, as a D Magazine Best Lawyers in Dallas, and as an “Elite Boutique Trailblazer” designation by the National Law Journal.
