As a founding partner in the firm, Scott Harper brings a diverse skill set in intellectual property law and trial experience enabling him to provide effective and insightful counsel to his clients. He assist s clients in developing and implementing strategies to protect their innovations, brands and creative works under domestic and foreign patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret laws. Scott’s practice includes all forms of patent, trademark and copyright prosecution, licensing and litigation. He also has extensive experience in managing intellectual property license audits and due diligence reviews and advises clients on intellectual property issues that arise from the sale and purchase of intellectual property assets, mergers and acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.

Scott represents start-up and Fortune 100 companies in a variety of industries including computer software, food and beverage, financial services, medical devices, energy, wine and spirits, cosmetics, fashion, art and entertainment. He also represents clients in litigating complex intellectual property disputes in federal and state courts across the country, managing inter partes review proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and conducting trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Before turning his career focus to intellectual property, Scott gained extensive trial experience defending aviation manufacturers and operators in wrongful death and product liability cases.
